Know Your Girls
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In partnership with the Ad Council and Susan G. Komen Foundation, we launched “Get In Formation, Get Information” for Know Your Girls around Breast Cancer Awareness Month; a campaign aiming to reduce current breast cancer deaths in the U.S. by 50% in 10 years (2026) through health equity for underserved communities.
To spur engagement and awareness, our team launched a digital campaign speaking directly to black women, inviting the sisterhood to take charge of their breast health through educational tools and information that promote early detection. Through social content, influencers and a partnership with GIPHY, we got people talking and sharing stories about their girls.
In just one month, we drove more than 8 million impressions across social and through our GIPHY partnership, more than 25,000 website visits and a 3000% increase in engagements on social.

Outside of NBCAM, we designed monthly social media content for Facebook and Instagram laddering back to pillars including Empowerment, Education and UGC. These ideas were communicated using illustration, animation, and leveraging original photos shared by our community of fans. This resulted in an interesting way for the follower to digest the content and complex layers of medical information while still being engaging and easy to understand..
